Eighty-Four Percent Introverted
A couple days ago I'm interrupted at work by my friend Agnes, who is dismayed about the results of an online Myers-Briggs personality test she had taken. Curious, I try my hand at the test and get the following:

An "engineer," eh? What's an engineer?
So what should an engineer do with his life? (I mean, assuming he wasn't about to spend a small fortune studying law in New York City.) The types of compatible careers I found are amusingly accurate:
INTPs are logical, individualistic, reserved, and very curious individuals. They focus on ideas, theories and the explanation of how things work. They are especially adept at discussions and debate. They have the ability to focus intently on a subject. They appreciate and respect intelligence in others.Sounds good. I'm not one to put much stock in an internet test, but those percentages seem to nail me. The 84% introverted number is particularly interesting. Henceforth, I'm going to be clinging to that number every time I blow off anybody who wants to have a night on the town.
So what should an engineer do with his life? (I mean, assuming he wasn't about to spend a small fortune studying law in New York City.) The types of compatible careers I found are amusingly accurate:
philosopher, game designer, scientist, software engineer, freelance artist, research scientist, assassin, freelance writer, physicist, software developer, arithmetician, geologist, computer scientist, philosophy professor, webmaster, slacker, medical researcher, painter, mortician, systems analyst, comic book artist, computer technician, website designer, scholar, archaeologist, computer repair, forensic anthropologist, astronaut, researcher, historian, systems engineer, genetics researcher, astronomer, environmental scientist, EgyptologistConsidering I'm musing about this, alone in my room, on a Friday night seems pretty appropriate. Now if only I was about to head out on an assassination mission...
